Termini and Mileage (2006) |
|
Notes and History |
ME 23, a centre-state minor highway, does not exist until 1954; it was formed out of the vacated alignment of ME 24 from Sidney to Guilford. As such, its southern terminus has apparently always been ME 8 (and friends) at Pond and Belgrade Rds near Sidney and its northern end at ME 6/ME 15/ME 16 near Guilford and Sangerville, its oblique routing via Oakland, Canaan, Hartland, Ripley and Dexter similarly unmolested. Interestingly, it is now longer than the route it was formed out of (ME 24). |
