Notes and History
The 1939 official state map shows a State Route 2 in the log and on the map corresponding exactly to the Macwahoc US 2A which was already well-established and signed as US highway prior to that (including on prior official maps and on other contemporary atlases). Interestingly, it also appears as part of the definition for the Pine Tree Trail as an alternate alignment. It does not appear on any maps or logs prior or since.
