Notes and History
ME 215 as originally designated in 1928 ran on the vacated alignment of ME 134 between Readfield at ME 134 and Manchester at ME 100 (now ME 11/ME 100/US 202). After the Maine Great Renumbering, this entire routing became part of new route ME 17 and the number was applied to its present-day, new routing. Originally, ME 215 terminated at ME 126 west of Jefferson; it was not extended to its present terminus at ME 32 until 1951.
