Notes and History
ME 206 as originally designated in 1925 ran between French Settlement near Gilman Falls at ME 155 (now ME 16) and Old Town at US 2. After the Maine Great Renumbering, this alignment was added as an extension to new route ME 43 and the number was applied to its present-day, new routing.
