Notes and History	ME 180 as originally designated in 1925 ran between Ellsworth Falls at ME 179 and Clifton, also at ME 179 (now ME 9). After the Maine Great Renumbering, ME 180 was inexplicably extended south along ME 179 to terminate at US 1 (now US 1A) at Ellsworth Falls in a completely useless multiplex, which remains its present routing.
