Notes and History
ME 132 as originally designated in 1925 ran between Jefferson near Coopers Mills at ME 101 (now ME 17) and Waldoboro at NEI 1 (now US 1). After the Maine Great Renumbering, this alignment became part of new route ME 32 and the number lapsed until 1937-8 when it was placed on new routing between Sabattus (at ME 9/ME 126) and Monmouth at US 202. This remains its present-day routing. Its terminus near Monmouth was lengthened slightly by realignment of US 202; see US 202.
