Termini and Mileage (2006) |
|
Notes and History |
ME 120 as originally designated in 1925 ran between Bryant Pond at NEI 26 (now ME 26) and Rumford-Mexico at NEI 15 (now US 2). After the Maine Great Renumbering, the northern terminus was extended along new routing to ME 5 at Andover, where it still terminates today, for a total distance of approximately 35 miles. The remaining portion south to Bryant Pond was cut to its current terminus at the corner of Lincoln and Hancock in Rumford at the northern end of the formerly cosigned portion with US 2 in 1955; the old alignment became ME 232 from Bryant Pond to East Milton and the remaining portion now signed as S Rumford Rd between ME 232 and the junction with US 2 in southern Rumford ceased to be numbered highway. The routing has not changed since. |
