15 July 2006: A Series of Unfortunate Events

Today was not a very good day in the roadgeeking department due to several closures in the Towanda area. Granted, several of them I knew about, but their respective detours required a fair bit of backtracking, and I-81 through Scranton/Wilkes-Barre was backed up badly on the trip in. (As predicted there was no time for the old Business 6 alignment through Carbondale either, though I did get the Tunkhannock one.) Combine that with the fact that I'm limited to dialup in this hotel and it looks like tonight's entry will be a dud.

The schedule will go like this then: I don't have broadband again until I'm visiting my friends in New England. Since I'll be in a driving lull by then, I'll do these three days with the first entry available on Wednesday. Apologies for the delay and stay tuned for the next entry!
