HTTPi 1.7.x will be the last branch to support Perls before 5.8.8. Security and critical fixes will be offered indefinitely for 1.7.x in future versions, but 1.7.x will receive no new features. Version 1.8 and higher will require Perl 5.8.8.
Fixes: Potential XSS in the default 401, 404 and 500 error handlers. All current users of HTTPi are advised to upgrade.
